The Goutorbe family originally worked as pépinièristes or nurserymen, propagating wine cuttings. Since the late 1940s they have produced estate-bottled champagne of note. They have a number of holdings in such places as Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bisseuil, Mutigny, Avenay-Val-d’Or and Hautvillers, including 6 hectares of Aÿ Grand Cru. They are one of the select few to have been invited to join the Club Trésors de Champagne.
From Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, this is gold in colour and abounds with aromas of red cherries, strawberries, apples and oranges. The palate is polished and refined.
